LCFB Welomes New Employee — Marcus Lewis
During July all Americans join together and celebrate the history of our great country! The LCFB is taking this opporutnity to show our American spirit and celebrate "Independence From Hunger," in honor of the more than 190,000 hungry children, families and elderly we serve in our 10 county coastal service area. We encourage all partners and friends to take part in our month long campaign to ensure all of our neighbors can celebrate "Independence From Hunger." The LCFB is happy to share a few of the ways for you to get involved in the campaign and we hope you will help us spread the word.
VOLUNTEER: The LCFB relies on more than 25,000 volunteer hours every year. From sorting and sanitizing food to attending a community event, learn more about the ways you can volunteer to help make a difference in our fight to end hunger!
ADVOCATE: Help the LCFB build hunger awareness! Come visit one of our facilities, attend a community event, share our enewsletter with friends, follow us on twitter, or friend us on facebook. For more information on these ideas and the many more ways to share our mission, contact LCFB Development and Communications Director, Miriam Coombes.
DONATE: The LCFB can create one meal with 1.3 pounds of food! Donate food by hosting a food drive, re-stocking your hurricane supply kit and donating last years, or cleaning out your pantry. Every dollar donated to the LCFB creates 10 meals! To create meals for our campaign, visit our Independence From Hunger page.
